The Kroc Center Day Camp program provides children of all ability levels the opportunity to play and grow in a positive and safe atmosphere. Motivated by God's love, our program strives to develop the whole child-within their environment-to help them grow physically, mentally and socially.
Our American Camp Association Accredited day camps offer athletic and cultural activities in our unique venues. Day campers enjoy making new friends as they develop skills, increase values, and learn about teamwork and leadership.
Kroc Adventures explores every area of The Salvation Army Kroc Center and offers a variety of age-appropriate recreational activities. Daily outings may include recreational field and gymnasium activities, swimming, traditional sports, arts and crafts, ice-skating, rock climbing.
Pee Wee Camp is the perfect fit for children ready to take the next step. Pee Wee Camp focuses on sharpening motor skills, improving group interactions and provides an introduction to athletics and arts & crafts. Daily activities may include: swimming, traditional sports, arts & crafts, rock climbing, and ice skating
Campers enrolled in Sports Camps will spend up to three hours per day focusing on skills, practice and play of a particular sport. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring other activities at the Kroc Center, which may include: field games, arts & crafts, swimming, and rock climbing.
Campers enrolled in Specialty Camps will spend up to three to five hours per day exploring the lessons and activities of their specialty. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring other activities at the Kroc Center, which may include: field games, swimming, rock climbing, computers, and library exploration.
Campers enrolled in a Spiritual Discovery Camps will spend approximately two total hours each day in chapel and small group “huddle” times, examining exciting lessons from the Bible. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring other activities at the Kroc Center, which may include: ice skating, field games, arts & crafts, swimming, and rock climbing.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center has been awarded Praesidium Accreditation by Praesidium, Inc., the leader in abuse risk management. Praesidium Accreditation is a prestigious honor that publicly demonstrates the organization has worked to achieve the highest industry standards in abuse prevention. To attain accreditation, The Salvation Army Kroc Center underwent a rigorous risk assessment to review and scrutinize eight primary operational areas within their business including: policies, screening and selection, training, monitoring and supervision, consumer participation, feedback systems, responding and administrative systems. Their assessment results were benchmarked against 800 best practice standards and empirically based data collection methods to assess the risk of abuse in an organization.
